stall seeks to be a minimal, evocative space. standing room for one that exerts a pull from some distance, perplexing thing that fleetingly stays your pace as you pass, or quieter semi-private space if you place yourself behind it. Here is corner 'going it alone', separated out from its usual context for your consideration. Through this explication also exposing what curious looking things the ubiquitous interior house corner actually is. The materials used: structural pine, skirting, wall insulation, ply and housepaint are those of building/ construction. The selection and treatment of these materials aims for a sense of quintessential house corner, as this work seeks to be a familiar but not quite known, constructed space for you to inhabit if you wish.
